Pre-Valentine’s Day High Tea ๐ŸŽ€โ˜•๐Ÿ’˜

It’s been a tradition for a few years now to have high tea for Valentine’s Day. We always skip Valentine’s Day itself, since it means limited menus in most places. For high tea though, at least where we go, it just means you have to pick the most expensive tea service. That’s alright by me! ๐Ÿ˜

I decided to bring Vanilla Bean along. It’s her first outing, I believe.

I picked a tea called Vanilla Dream (or Vanilla Cream? I forget, but it reminded me of Vanilla Bean so it seemed fitting.)

Finally it was time for the glorious tray:

Looking at the photos now, Iโ€™m hungry all over again…

Lia, the proprietor, puts a lot of effort in the decorations, even now when there isn’t as much traffic. They are a delight to look at every time.

Here’s Lia and me. I never thought of getting a photo of us together before (she’s always taking photos of me though, haha) but today I wanted to:

Itโ€™s always a very lovely, romantic time and today was no exception. I hope it wonโ€™t be too long before we go again. Next though, I expect we will be going to Chuyโ€™s for our next date night. Itโ€™s opening in just a couple of days! ๐ŸŒฎ โœจ

A Happy, Busy Weekend ๐Ÿท๐ŸŒธ

I got a TON done this weekend. Art wise, household wise, friend-time wise, I even got a bit of exercise in by riding my scooter. ๐Ÿ›ด๐ŸŒˆโœจ

I finally went to check out the Hobby Lobby that opened near us (rode the kick scooter there.) I feel so conflicted about that store. ๐Ÿคจ I think the company itself is garbage, and especially being pan, I have personal beef with them. But the stores are a dream for me, nothing quite like them –not Michael’s nor JOANN– and they employ a LOT of local people. So many that would be jobless right now are employed there, including many fellow immigrants. So there is good and bad. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Anyway the store was freaking AMAZING. ๐Ÿคฉ I spent less than $35 and got a bunch of snail things, a bunch of squirrel things (what are the odds!) a GIANT wind spinner made of brightly colored metal, some accessories for my bears, and a rainbow dinosaur umbrella!! I was losing my ๐Ÿ’ฉ. Haha!

Also got to go to Home Depot for a few little bins to organize my hug’s smaller accesories.

Later, I got some writing done, in company of Vanilla Bean and with a nice snack:

It was really nice to see our friends (on different days.) Even though right now we don’t see them as often, they mean the world to me. They are my family.

I am also quite excited because, due to some waits, I now have two wonderful bears I am expecting: Roulade, a mouse whom I’ll be naming Chizito (after an Argentinean snack similar to Cheetos) and Clinton, a wonderful bear whom I will be calling Mud Pie. I’ve already made necklaces for both of them!

I’m hoping for another productive week. Really happy because Christopher won’t be home late this week!

Hope it’s a wonderful one for you guys too! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’–

Welcome, Vanilla Bean! ๐ŸŒธ

Everyone, Iโ€™d like to introduce this new member of my hug, Vanilla Bean!

Sheโ€™s part of the Charlie Bears secret collection for this year and without a doubt my most pink, soft-looking Charlie Bear! As in, not the softest fur, but rather, appearance.

Sheโ€™ll be most suited for really pink and delicate outfits, and has that wonderful quality of being small enough for many of my bags. Sheโ€™s already making fast friends with Milk Tea!
